B2B content strategy and copywriting
Clear content for complex B2B businesses.
If your business is technical, specialist or difficult to sum up in a sentence, you’re in the right place. I help technology, engineering and professional services companies turn complicated ideas into clear, useful content.
I’ll collaborate on your website strategy, messaging, service pages, audience content and SEO, to help your customers understand what you do, why it matters and why they should speak to you.

Making sense of what you do
You know your business. Your website should make it easy for everyone else.
When you work in a technical or specialist industry, website content can become overloaded with detail. Everyone has something important to add, and before long, the main message has disappeared under processes, features and industry terminology.
That is where I come in. I take the time to understand your business, your customers and the thinking behind your services. Then I turn it into content that makes sense.
It will still sound knowledgeable. It will still be accurate. It will just be much easier to read.
How I can help
Words are only part of the job.
The best content starts with understanding the business, the customer and what the website needs to achieve.
B2B website content
Your website needs to explain the business, answer questions, build confidence and encourage the right people to get in touch.
- Homepage and core messaging
- Product and service pages
- Sector and audience pages
- FAQs and calls to action
- SEO titles and descriptions
Content strategy and messaging
Sometimes the problem is not the writing. It is knowing what the website needs to say in the first place.
- Audience and customer planning
- Proposition and key messages
- Website structure
- Tone of voice
- Content priorities and journeys
SEO content
Search-friendly content should still sound as though it was written for a person. If a sentence sounds odd, it has no business being on your website.
- Search-led service pages
- Articles and guides
- Structured FAQs
- Internal linking
- Traditional and AI-led search
The sort of work I love
I like the complicated projects.
Give me the website with several services, six different audiences and a product nobody has managed to explain clearly yet.
I am comfortable working through long briefing documents, technical information, customer research and feedback from several people. You do not have to hand me a perfectly organised brief. Part of my job is finding the useful story within everything you already know.
How it works
I ask questions. Quite a lot of them.
I learn about the business
I want to understand what you sell, who buys it, what customers worry about and what usually prompts them to get in touch.
I create the structure
What needs to come first? Where will people want more detail? Which questions need answering? What should they do next?
Then I write
I turn everything into clear, natural content that reflects the business. You can review it, add technical input and tell me if anything does not feel right.

CASE STUDY – TECHNOLOGY CLIENT
Making a complicated service easier to understand.
The client worked with large organisations across technical, legal, procurement, security and risk teams. Each audience needed different information, but the website still had to feel consistent.
The project included core website messaging, service pages, audience-led content, FAQs, SEO elements and internal linking recommendations. My job was to understand the technical detail, identify what mattered to each reader and build a clearer route through the website.
About me
Marketing experience with a commercial head.
I’m Kerry Garner, a B2B content strategist and copywriter with more than 25 years of marketing experience.
I have worked across agency, freelance and client-side projects, covering technology, professional services, engineering, interiors and local businesses.
I am also a director of a precision engineering company. That gives me a practical view of marketing. Content has to do more than sound nice. It needs to support sales conversations, explain the value of a service and give potential customers a reason to trust the business behind it.
I do my homework, I get involved and I care about getting the details right. Some might call that nerdy. I’m perfectly happy with that.
Let’s talk
Let’s make your website easier to understand.
If you have a new website to plan, an existing one that needs rewriting or a complicated service that deserves a clearer explanation, tell me a little about the business and where you are getting stuck. I’ll tell you honestly if I think I can help.
